Advanced appointments are required to accept patients who want to have any medical treatment in any outpatient department.
A referral form is required for any medical treatment in the Neurosurgery Department.
If a patient comes to our hospital directly without a referral, we cannot provide any medical care to that patient on that day. Patients should then make an appointment for their next visit.
To make an appointment, one’s private medical doctor or a patient him/herself should send a fax form to the outpatient department appointment center [TEL:096-373-5973、FAX:096-373-5577、e-mail:yoyaku-center@fc.kuh.kumamoto-u.ac.jp]. After we receive an appointment request form, we organize the day and the time when a doctor is available, and call the patient directly.
Patients who come to our hospital for the first time and don’t have a medical insurance certificate are charged 100% of the total medical cost. Patients who return should notify the hospital of any changes to the certificate, such as renewals. At any department, patients should be ready to show his/her certificate. A patient without his/her certificate will be charged 100% of the total medical cost according to the regulations.
It has been opened since April, 2002 for first visit patients or those with change of reservation.
Medical welfare section takes care of application for specified diseases, Children chronic specified diseases, Medical aid for children with potential disability and Regeneration medical treatment.
