The principle of Kumamoto University Hospital: "Through advanced medical safety management, Kumamoto University Hospital practices patient-first medical care, is dedicated to medical development and educating medical professionals, and contributes to the health and welfare of its community." This principal is instilled in all of our staff members.

1. We build a relationship of trust with patients to offer the best possible medical care, and endeavor to respect patient confidentiality and fulfill our duty to provide them with full explanations.
2. We promote greater openness in medical service and try to communicate with local people and the public, willingly disclosing our activities and results.
3. We contribute to keep the safety of the civil society with the law of Medical Law, Private Information Protection Law etc. and the respect of intellectual property rights to the society.
4. We maintain a fair and open relationship with external institutions.
5. We conduct the prevention of distinction and harassment, and protect privacy to make a better organizational climate.
6. We endeavor to observe the internal regulations and enforce the prevention of benefit contrariety as a member of a team.
